What’s the difference between the MoonRay and a conventional SLA 3D printer?
SLA 3D printers use a laser beam to cure the resin. The XY resolution of printed parts is dependent on the diameter of the laser beam. The MoonRay does not have this limitation and can print at 100-micron XY resolution, three times better than other SLA printers on the market today. The other difference is the speed of fabrication. The print speed depends on the complexity of the parts in SLA 3D printers. With MoonRay, a part’s complexity does not affect the printing speed because the UV projector cures a whole layer at once.
